I took Joey Castro’s kata seminar and Willie Hicks and Regena Thompson-Spivey fighting seminar. I learned a lot on how to further develop my skills and got the chance to go head to head with my kata instructor (Joey) and will go for grands tonight!!

My results:
– 4th in traditional foundations
– 3rd Japanese okinawan forms
– 1st in Korean forms
– 1st fly weight point fighting
– Lost runoffs in points
– Runner up overall grand champ in forms

What an amazing weekend, Lots of laughs, lots of fun and great competition. Thanks to Jeff Doss and Jeff Doss’ Grand Slam Open for an amazing tournament. Thank you Seiko Hanshi Rick Diaz and Sue for the support and riding down with me as well as Tyreeke Saint.
